POS 352S - Contemporary Political Theory

Political philosophy has undergone radical transformations in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, breaking down various intellectual (epistemological), geo-cultural and academic (disciplinary) boundaries and barriers. Beginning with the rise of post-modernism in political theory during the 1970s, students will analyze and discuss contemporary political thought in terms of its interaction with political, economic and social changes ranging from the collapse of the Soviet Union to the rise of globalization and its capitalist culture.
