PSY 259 - Evolutionary Psychology This course is the synthesis of principles of modern evolutionary biology and modern psychology. Basic principles such as survival, short- and long-term mating strategies, parenting, and kinship will be covered. Significant attention will also be focused on various issues of group living, including cooperative alliances, aggressive behaviors, status and social dominance. In addition, the scientific movements leading toward the emergence of Evolutionary Psychology will be discussed. Course Typically Offered: Even fall.
