ACE 152 - Career & Major Exploration and Engagement


Designed for students exploring potential majors and career paths, this course integrates experiential learning, engaging discussions, reflective writing, and project-based work to help students connect their academic interests with real-world careers. Through hands-on activities, students will gain self-awareness around their values, interests, and skills, allowing them to make informed choices about their future. The course emphasizes practical experiences-including informative interviews, career research, and an exploration of the culture of education and  work in America, examining how societal norms, values, and expectations shape educational goals, work environments and career dynamics.

By the end of the course, students will have created a small portfolio documenting their academic plans, career experiences, class discussions, and insights into the cultural dimensions of education and work, providing a strong foundation for future academic and career decisions. Pass/Fail: Pass/Fail Course Typically Offered: Every fall.
