ECH 402 - Advanced Diversity Issues in Early Childhood Education


This web-based course is designed for the early childhood educator interested in taking a more advanced look at issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion in early childhood education. Students will study the reality of increasing diversity within the classroom setting, including issues relating to class, ethnicity, religion, exceptionality, gender, and language. Students will have the opportunity to emerge with a deeper understanding of cultural responsiveness and how to develop and extend meaningful diversity into their classrooms. Prerequisite(s): Candidacy, practicing educator, or permission of the instructor.
