MAT 275 - History of Mathematics

The history of mathematics from antiquity to the twentieth century, with emphasis placed on the major developments of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry. Problems will be solved in the historical context. The cultures in which mathematics developed will also be discussed. Course Typically Offered: Every even fall.
