ARH 101 - Design History


This course explores the history of graphic design and its extensions as driving forces in visual  culture. The class will investigate movements and innovations in historical and contemporary design as technologies and modes of visual communication expand globally. We will study questions of race, gender, and class, as well as the evolving role of the designer in society. Course Typically Offered: Every other year.
