EDU 528 - Leading the RTI Process in Mathematics

In this fourth course of the Certificate in Math Intervention Specialist, participants will apply what they have learned from the previous courses. They will work in their own school or school district to move mathematics RTI planning and the implementation process to the next step. Participants will analyze research on effective math instruction and assessment practices; reflect on their local practices; createplans for improvement; and gather data to inform further action. The coursework will also explore leadership theory, the role of strategic planning, the change process, and strategies needed to develop, implement, successfully maintain and update an effective research based RTI plan.
