EDU 594 - Designing a K - 8 Math Coaching Practice Credits: 3 Prerequisite(s): Baccalaureate degree, and be a member of the Maine Mathematics Coaching Project Term: Summer
This is the first course in a three-course series. This course offers an introduction to the theory andpractice of elementary (K - 8) mathematics coaching. Students will examine the literature related tomathematics coaching with particular attention to the different models employed by school districts andthe efficacy of coaching. Focus will also be given to developing a shared vision of quality instruction inelementary school mathematics
