The Liberal Arts Undeclared Program offers a supportive educational environment where you can explore interests, uncover your strengths, and map out your academic and career aspirations.
Students are assigned to one of our experienced advisors who will work closely with you to assess your skills, interests, and values, helping you to identify potential majors and career paths that align with your goals. As an additional resource, you are encouraged to meet with a Career Advisor during the exploration process.
Students in the Undeclared Program explore majors by enrolling into introductory courses of interest while they are meeting General Education requirements. For example, Introduction to Psychology can be a course of interest for a potential major and it also meets a General Education requirement.
Information about specific courses, majors, and minors are available by consulting the listing of courses by major or by reviewing the programs of study for Bachelor’s Degree Programs. UMF also gives students the ability to create a self-designed study plan which allows them to customize a major to fit particular interests.
