Inclusive Special Education and Leadership, Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Inclusive Special Education is designed to support general and special educators, administrators, related service providers and educational technicians to implement research-based practices that support inclusive service delivery, increase the quality of inclusive education for students with disabilities and create greater educational outcomes for students with disabilities. This certificate can also serve as a stepping stone to other certificates or graduate programs at UMF/UMS system. Courses in this certificate are offered as 70/30 online hybrid and/or fully online via blended synchronous and asynchronous instruction during a 16 week semester or condensed intensive summer sessions.

Certificate Requirements

Completion of this certificate requires the following four (4) UMF courses:

SED 598 Inclusive Education Reform: A Social Justice Approach to School and Systemwide Reform Credits: 3
SED 551 Advanced Intervention Methods Credits: 3
SED 599 Coaching for Inclusive Education Credits: 3
EDU 579 Implementing Systems of Student Support Credits: 3
