Systems of Student Support, Certificate

The Certificate in Systems of Student Support is designed to provide educational leaders with the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills, and competencies that can prepare them to assume leadership roles in the development and implementation of student support services and related programming in their schools and districts.

Certificate Requirements

Completion of this certificate requires four (4) UMF courses:

EDU 506 - Poverty and Education Credits: 3
EDU 519 - Risk and Resilience in Educational Settings Credits: 3
EDU 579 - Implementing Systems of Student Support Credits: 3

And One of the Following:

ECH 533 - Advanced Foundations of Child Development Credits: 3 (requires permission from ECH)
EDU 503 - Culturally Responsive Pedagogy and English Language Learners Credits: 3
EDU 504 - English Language Learners: Equity, Inclusion, and Family Engagement Credits: 3
EDU 521 - Fostering Effective Learner Dispositions Credits: 3
EDU 526 - Assessment Course & Research-Based Intervention Practices Credits: 3
EDU 533 - Mindfulness Credits: 3
