Welcome to the University of Maine Farmington, and thank you for selecting UMF as your choice to advance your higher education!
Our overarching goal is to support you as you determine and prepare for your journey after graduation. That journey starts with an excellent experience while you are engaged in your studies.
Our faculty and staff are here to help assure all students are supported during their time at UMF. No matter how our students’ lives are organized–whether they are living on or off campus, whether they are straight out of high school or returning after having a family or working, or whether they are in person or online students–we work to make sure everyone has positive, meaningful, and challenging opportunities both inside and out of the classroom. These opportunities include everything from thoughtful conversations with faculty in small classes, cheering on fellow Beavers at athletic competitions, pursuing interests through student organizations, and taking advantage of internships that help students explore different career paths.
This catalog is one of our agreements with you. We hope it assists you in navigating your academic journey, as it lists degree programs and requirements for graduation. Obviously, no one document can answer all questions or solve all problems. Please know that you are not alone! We are here for you, and will work with you to answer your specific questions and help address your individual problems. Just reach out–to your academic advisor, a community assistant–anyone–and we will connect you to the right folks.
