BUS 222 - Hospitality Management


This course provides an overview of the structure, conduct, and business performance of the hospitality industry, and the relationship between hospitality and tourism. Food and beverage, lodging, hospitality operations management, resorts, conventions, events, attractions, travel and tourism, and other related operations. Types of accommodation, services, the functioning of housekeeping, front office, and restaurant services will be examined. The course will also examine cultural and economic trends and include an orientation to customer service. Course Typically Offered: Every 2 years.

Prerequisite(s): Outdoor Recreation Business Administration major, Business Economics major, Business minor or permission.
