BUS 270 - Management Information Systems


This course will provide the student with a basic understanding of the content of information systems, the types of information systems, and the current roles of information systems in businesses. The course will also examine how these systems provide opportunities and impact business success. It will provide an overview of the tools, techniques, and frameworks used to build information systems and the technologies to support such systems. This particular course will emphasize the use of information systems in accounting, management, marketing, finance, and administration to provide information for business needs. Pass/Fail: Pass/Fail option. Course Typically Offered: Every 2 years.

Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing.
