HEA 123 - Contemporary Health Issues This course is an exploration of the health issues within society today. Students will explore such topics as physical activity, relationships, nutrition, and addiction, chronic and communicable diseases. The course serves as an introduction to prevention education, the hallmark of the unique discipline of Community Health Education. Prevention education is evaluated in occupational settings such as schools, worksites, health care, and the community. The relationship between coordinating networks, health service organizations, government, and voluntary-based health agencies is examined. Course Typically Offered: Every semester.
