REH 242 - Animal Assisted Therapy This course provides an overview of the use of animals in the therapeutic process for persons of all abilities. A primary focus is on the facilitation of positive changes in a broad spectrum to promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social improvement for people with special needs. Legal issues as well as safety considerations in various environments are covered. The course includes case examples and field experiences. Course Typically Offered: Every 3 years.
