ARH 116A - Visual Culture II This course focuses on art and architecture as part of the visual cultures of the Renaissance, Enlightenment, and modern world into the 19th century. Students will look at the different ways in which images create meaning, form visual languages, and drive society and politics. Students will study different ways of interpreting images and consider the both the historical and current contexts of the artworks and their own role as viewers. Writing-intensive.
