ECH 303 - ACES and Trauma Informed Early Childhood Practice


The course explores adverse childhood experiences (ACES) and trauma and how they affect the life and experiences of young children. Effects on brain development and associated developmental outcomes will be explored. The role of protective factors and trauma-informed classroom practices in promoting resilience and adaptive function in the face of risks will be considered.
