The Data Analytics minor is comprised of computer science, statistics, and technology-related courses to provide students exposure to a variety of relevant and in-demand skills to better prepare them for post-undergraduate work. In addition to traditional coursework in computer science and mathematics, students will customize a selection of technology modules best suited to their major and their plans after graduation.
|
Total Credits: 20
* MAT 328 satisfies the requirement for a second statistics course for the minor, but students should be aware that it has prerequisites of MAT 220 and MAT 251 . MAT 228 is the appropriate choice for those who choose MAT 120M as their first statistics course.
** TEC Modules are 1 or 2 credit courses focused on a particular technology skill. They are offered entirely online, and there are several to choose from to best complement the student’s major.
A minimum of one third of the required credits must be earned at UMF for a minor to be awarded.
