Interdisciplinary Studies - Liberal Studies, B.A.

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Academic Programs

The Interdisciplinary Studies concentration in Liberal Studies provides students an opportunity to pursue a general liberal arts education while also acquiring valuable career proficiency. Students couple the completion of a required internship with a mandatory career readiness portfolio that demonstrates real-world professional skills. Advanced coursework is required in the form of a minor, a certificate, or in a set of courses chosen in consultation with their advisor.

A concentration in Liberal Studies prepares students for many careers, as it has a skills-based curriculum, drawing from many disciplines. It offers flexibility for students who don’t follow the traditional route to college.
